Liz Gagley

I am Liz Gagley and have worked with Joyce since 2013. After earning my bachelor's degree from Western Washington University, I completed the Washington State Rule 6 Law Clerk Program in December 2017, which qualified me to sit for the Washington State Bar Exam. I was sworn in as an attorney in January 2019.

I continue to practice alongside Joyce and will eventually assume ownership of the firm upon her retirement. I am grateful not only for the professional mentorship Joyce has provided, but also for the opportunity to work with my mother and for the role she plays as a grandmother to my children.

Outside of my practice, I live in Cle Elum with my husband and two children. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my dogs and value time with family and friends. In my free time, I enjoy sports with my children and traveling with my family.

Bar Admissions

Education

  • Washington State Law Clerk Program
    • 2017
  • Western Washington University, Bellingham, Washington
    • B.A. - 2009
    • Major: Anthropology
  • Seattle Central Community College, Seattle, Washington
    • A.A. - 2005

Additional Experience:

  • DUI Seminars - Typically we attend these multiple times a year so that we stay up to date on changing DUI laws and issues.
  • CDL Masking seminars put on by the National District Attorney Association.  Most recently in 2020.  I was the only defense attorney to attend these seminars, all other attendants were judges, prosecuting attorneys, and law enforcement.  This allowed me to learn what the other side is learning and teaching so that I am more prepared in defending our clients.
  • SFST (Standardized Filed Sobriety Testing) training and certification, the same as officers, in 2023.  This allows me to be able to watch DUI videos and know instantly if the officer followed the correct procedures when administering the SFSTs.
