Benton County District Court operates two courthouses, located in Kennewick and Prosser. Our firm represents clients in both locations, handling a wide range of traffic infractions and criminal misdemeanors, from DUI charges and speeding tickets to more serious misdemeanor offenses.

Compared to many other courts in Eastern Washington, Benton County District Court is a larger and more complex court system. We have extensive experience practicing in both courthouses and are familiar with the judges and prosecuting attorneys. Benton County has several judges, each with their own courtroom procedures, preferences, and approach to different legal issues. When possible, we prefer to have our clients' cases heard in the smaller and more relaxed Prosser Courthouse. There are several reasons for this preference, including the potential benefits to our clients and the differences in how cases are handled there. Our familiarity with both courthouses allows us to advise clients about what to expect and how their case will proceed.

CDL and Commercial Driver Violations

Benton County also has a significant number of commercial driver cases because of the weigh station located near Grandview. Although Grandview is commonly associated with Yakima County, the weigh station is located within Benton County. As a result, we see a higher volume of CDL-related cases in Benton County than in many of the surrounding counties.
